I needed help to lose weight and become fitter after failing to do it on my own.
The training sessions with Andrew are varied and change regularly which keeps them interesting and fun. Andrew is good at motivating me both during sessions, and also with the odd text or e-mail between sessions, especially at the beginning when I needed it most. He is able to gauge the correct intensity for me and adjust the session if I am struggling or finding it too easy, so that at the end I feel like I’ve worked hard but not over done it. He is well informed on nutrition and has always been able to answer any questions I have about training and fitness.
I have reached all of my goals and lost over 25kg. The weights I am lifting have steadily increased so that I am now lifting over double what I struggled with at the start. I particularly like boxercise and, after Andrew took me out for my first run in over 10 years, I have continued to run and entered my first 10k race. I couldn’t do a single press up or sit up when I started and can now do them with ease and even enjoy them! I am now happy with my body and I can give my super fit gymnast children a run for their money and join them doing pull ups!
Andrew is great with my kids, who are often about when I am training, and he is a nice guy to have around, which is important when you are training several times a week or inviting someone into your own home.

Weight had started to creep on, and having already gone up a dress size I didn’t want to go up another, so I decided I needed to take action to prevent a shopping trip for out-sized clothes.
I knew I needed to take action before I got too heavy. Having previously had a relationship with a gym, which consisted of sitting in the car park for half an hour to get myself motivated to go in – only to find that I had motivated myself to go home instead, I knew that I needed some other method of exercise so decided to look on the internet to see what options I had to choose from. That is when I discovered Andrew’s website!! I was immediately drawn to it as it is informative and encouraging, so much so that I plucked up the courage to contact him. It was the best decision I have ever made!!
I found it really tough both physically and mentally at the start. I am a quiet/ shy person whose mindset was ‘ I can’t do it…….’ but Andrew never gave up on me!! He identified areas were I struggled – changed exercises and introduced new equipment to work and build on those areas. He continually changes the sessions, so you never know from one week to the next what you will be doing which makes it enjoyable. The one sure thing that you can expect is that Andrew will arrive on time, be pleasant and friendly, will have a plan made out for the session ensuring that you work hard!!
Once Andrew knows your goals, he will not lose sight of them (even if you do) and will do everything in his power to help you achieve them….. using ‘gentle persuasion’ techniques to encourage you. He instinctively knows when you need a little help to stay away from the ‘table of plenty’ – so a text will be sent. Or when he can push you that little bit harder during a session and vice versa when he needs to scale it back.
Andrew has shown me that I can do it……. He has helped me transform my life. I have now started to lose weight, my shape has changed, I have more confidence and energy and I am a lot happier and hopefully fitter as well. I would never have achieved any of this on my own.

My husband started training with Andrew and I decided that I needed someone to motivate me to get fit and tone up.
After 12 sessions with Andrew my arms were noticeably toned and my thighs smaller and tighter. The sessions are always varied targeting different areas, trying new exercises and both indoor and outdoor so I always feel like I am being challenged.

I was trying to reduce my times for a 3km time trial at my running club and needed help improving my pace and reduce my weight.
Throughout the first 4 weeks of my training things went really well, I was steadily reducing my weight each week loosing a total of nearly 4kgs and reducing my 3km time by nearly 3 minutes. Andrew kept every session interesting, challenging and motivating which meant I looked forward to every session. Andrew adapted all of my sessions when I was unwell for a few weeks to make sure my progress wasn’t wasted and he helped me keep on track for my goals. I also got a lot from Andrew in terms of nutritional and exercise knowledge which has helped me hugely when working out on my own. I needed to lose weight and tone up for my up and coming wedding
I signed up with Andrew in summer 2013 with the intention of losing weight and toning up in preparation for my wedding. I’ve reached my goal and managed to keep my weight off; something that I previously struggled with, particularly when following the latest weigh loss crazes!
Regular monitoring of my progress was a key motivator, whilst targets and goals set by Andrew saw me dropping over one stone, transcending from the overweight BMI category to that of a normal range. The training programme delivered was individually designed to build upon my existing abilities and fitness, whilst the wide ranged and varied training programmes prevented boredom and kept me motivated.

Marlene needed to lose 62 kg in weight in order to live a healthier and happy lifestyle and to reduce the risk of future CHD, diabetes or stroke.
I have tried slimming clubs and gyms before, losing weight didn’t seem possible, yet personal training has been the only way that has worked for me. I was at serious risk of health problems, if I didn’t do something about it.
I have managed to lose weight and keep it off for the first time in my life. Six months on now and still going, it can be hard at times but having someone there definitely makes it a bit easier, I think having the support of Andrew is excellent, whether it be a text to check on you or even a bit of encouragement.
I like that Andrew is strict about it all, if he wasn’t then you wouldn’t get as much out of it and he always ensures that you are doing the exercises correctly. He is also very understanding and easy to work with.
Andrew coming to my house worked well for me, as he is very reliable and because I didn’t have to get myself anywhere, or worry about other people about. He came to my house, we done the exercises for the hour and that was it until the next time, otherwise I wouldn’t have done anything, I would have just kept putting it off.
Doing that 3 limes a week, meant it aided the weight loss plus you were getting fitter, exercises were tailored to suit my ability and also pushed me to my limits. I enjoyed the exercises, doing different one’s each visit to make it interesting but also increasing the intensity and reps as time went on to increase my stamina and to see me improve. I basically just did what Andrew told me to do.
At first we took it slow and done what I was capable of doing at that time and I’m now doing more than I thought I could do, I’m actually starting to jog outside now, which is surprising but rewarding.
Andrew set realistic goals and monitored progress throughout, I looked forward to the weigh in each week, as we set targets to reach over a period of time and tried to aim for them, I liked this as it gave me a goal to achieve.
Sometimes it’s hard to keep training up when life gets in the way, but I felt it was important to going as it brought me a new confidence to do things I wouldn’t have done previously. I am able to do so much more now having lost 4 stone, it’s great to be getting into smaller clothes and also being able to do everyday things which just seems normal now, which is excellent.

I needed to lose 20 kg to improve chance of passing the Royal Navy Pre Joining fitness test.
Andrew managed to help me to achieve a weight loss of about 18 kg and a 2.4 km run time of 10 minutes 30 seconds. He did this by improving my leg strength with a combination of runs and leg exercises. He also used High Intensity Interval Training to help burn fat for the weight loss. He would change the exercises regularly to make sure my body did not get used to a particular exercise and also to help stop boredom. Once I had achieved my main goal he worked on upper body fitness, involving boxing as part of the workouts which I enjoyed the most but was hard work. Andrew was friendly and focused on the training and I would recommend him as a personal trainer to anyone that wanted help with any fitness goals.
Andrew was great at motivating me and getting the best out of me. He would take a personal interest in your goals and is always prepared to put in the extra effort which helps you make the extra effort when training.
